Unified draft law for the Turkish insurance market

Turkish insurance companies are waiting for the passing of a unified law for the insurance market.

The sector is currently governed by a multitude of different pieces of legislation. One of the main laws governing the insurance contract in Turkey is the Turkish Commercial Code (TCC).

According to Fahri Altingoz, Chairman of the Insurance Practitioners Association, there is a need to unify the insurance legislation into a single law.
