Zurich Insurance victim of a cyber attack in Japan

On 9 January 2023, Zurich Insurance's Japanese subsidiary fell victim to a cyber attack. Hackers accessed 757 463 customer files.

The stolen information includes customers' personal data (name, gender, date of birth, email address, policy number) and those relating to motor insurance contracts.

The insurer is working closely with experts to notify and support the victims of this attack.
