WhatsApp to launch microinsurance products in India

WhatsApp, the Facebook-owned instant messaging platform, is marketing two microinsurance products for its users in India.

The first product is a health insurance policy underwritten by SBI General Insurance.

The second product is a pension product developed in partnership with HDFC Pension Management Company and PinBox.

Both coverages shall be accessible by late 2020.
