Wafa Assurance to operate in Egypt

Wafa Egypt, a subsidiary of the Moroccan company Wafa, was authorized by the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) to initiate its insurance activities in Egypt.

Already present in Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Tunisia and Cameroon, Wafa Assurance aims to strengthen its presence in the North African countries.

The financial group Attijariwafa, parent company of the Moroccan insurer, has been operating on the Egyptian banking market since 2016 through Barclays Bank Egypt.
