United Arab Emirates: Oman Insurance introducing insurance for non-resident Indians

Oman Insurance Company (OIC) is marketing a health insurance policy for non–resident parents of the Indians settled in the United Arab Emirates. This product has been developed in partnership with the Indian insurer Star Health Insurance. It provides health coverage for parents and in-laws who remained in India, and a one-way ticket to pay them a visit in case of hospital admission for a serious disease (heart attack, cancer, liver disease).

The product is divided into five options from “bronze” to “diamond”, according to the amount of the insured capital. The policy may be maintained in case the policyholder decided to move back to India.
