UAE: Seminar on cyber security

A seminar on corporate risk management was held on October 18, 2017 in Dubai. Under the theme "Risk and cyber security", this meeting's objective was to raise awareness among professionals about the danger of cybercrime.

Speaking at the seminar, the CEO of Dubai Electronic Security Center, an institution specializing in computer security, revealed that the United Arab Emirates had uncovered 561 cyber-attack attempts in the first half of 2017.

This number represents 53% of the total cyber attacks identified in the country during the reporting period.
