UAE insurance market posted a growth in profits in 2017

According to the annual report of the Insurance Authority, Emirati insurers recorded, at the end of 2017, 2.2 billion AED (598.84 million USD) in net profits, up by 22% compared to 1.8 billion AED (489.96 million USD) reported in 2016.

National companies contributed 68% of these profits while 32% were made by foreign companies based in the country.
