UAE insurance market: good performance in the first half of 2017

According to a report published by Standard & Poor's, the United Arab Emirates insurance market has exhibited a sound performance in the first half of 2017. This change is mainly accounted for by the regulatory changes that have positively impacted this activity.

As a reminder, in early 2017, the United Arab Emirates introduced compulsory health insurance for foreign workers.
