Turkic World Insurance Union holds its inaugural Assembly

The first General Assembly of the Turkic World Insurance Union (TWIU) was held on 14 September 2025 in Shusha, Azerbaijan, marking the official launch of the organization.

The TWIU was established in 2022 by the insurance associations of Azerbaijan and Turkey. Its main objectives include fostering knowledge and expertise sharing among member countries and establishing joint insurance and reinsurance pools.

The Union’s member countries are Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan. Hungary and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus participate as observer States.
