Tobias Suek has been appointed CEO of SanlamAllianz Re, formerly known as Saham Re. He succeeds Ilyes Hassib. Pending regulatory approval, the appointment will take effect on 15 October 2025.
A French-German national, T. Suek holds an MBA from Leuphana University in Lüneburg and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the Leibniz Academy in Hanover, Germany. He also pursued studies in Canada and France.
The newly appointed executive joined the Allianz Group in 2007 and has since held a variety of management roles over the past 18 years, notably at Allianz France, Allianz Direct, and Allianz Re.
