Tesla establishes a brokerage company in China

Tesla launched an insurance brokerage company based in China on 6 August 2020. This new entity called Tesla Insurance Brokers Company, has a capital of 50 million CNY (7.2 million USD), entirely owned by Tesla Motors Hong Kong.

Global vice-president and manager of Tesla in China, Zhu Xiaotong, has been appointed the new company’s legal representative.

For the record, the electric car manufacturer has launched its own motor insurance policy in California in 2019. The latter grants up to 30% premium reductions for owners of Tesla vehicles.
