Tardy compensation of motor claims in Tanzania

Local insurance companies have disbursed 7.3 billion TZS (3.25 million USD) in the course of the recent two years in order to indemnify the victims of road crashes. This amount covers just 10% of the 1 583 claims reported during the period in question.

The government is considering possibilities to speed up claim compensation processes.
