Takaful insurance market will reach 8.8 billion USD in 2010

The volume of premiums made by takaful insurers will amount to 8.8 billion USD in 2010. Premiums have progressed by 29% since 2008. Saudi Arabia and Malaysia are the leading markets with respectively 2.9 billion USD and 0.9 billion USD of premiums. Outside the Gulf and South East Asia region, Sudan is the country offering the highest potential.
