Syrian Islamic Insurance Company is starting operations

The new company “Syrian Islamic insurance Company” has started operating in Syria at the beginning of September providing insurance products for all business classes.
It is endowed with a capital of 1 billion SYP (22.190 million USD),divided between Syrian (46%) and Qatari (54%) shareholding. The Syrian insurance market is witnessing an important increase of its insurance companies in recent years. The country counts now 13 insurance companies.
