Swiss Re strengthens its business in the UK market

Swiss Re has purchased 1.1 million life insurance policies from Legal & General (L&G), a UK-based financial services group.

The transaction, which amounts to 650 million GBP (870.8 million USD), will enable the Swiss insurer to expand its business across the Channel.
The newly acquired portfolio will be managed by ReAssure, a UK subsidiary of Swiss Re.
