Swiss Re opens an underwriting office in Singapore

Swiss Re has opened an underwriting office in Singapore. The new entity will be run by Sharon Ooi, underwriting manager for Asia, Australia and New Zealand markets who ceded its fonctions to Victor Kuk.

Specializing in property and casualty insurance, the new location will enable the Swiss reinsurer to expand its business in a promising market that is currently generating almost one third of global premiums.
