Swiss Re is going to market “retakaful” products from Kuala Lumpur

Swiss Re has just obtained license from the Malaysian authorities to operate from Kuala Lumpur in the field of islamic reinsurance. The subsidiary dedicated to this activity is run by Marcel Omar Papp.
According to Swiss Re, the number of potential insured amounts to 1. 5 billion worldwide, for a turnover estimated at 7 billion USD for the five years to come.
