South Africa, new partnership between Ecobank and Old Mutual

Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), parent company of the Ecobank group and Old Mutual Emerging Markets (OMEM), an entity of the Old Mutual group, have concluded a new strategic agreement.

Signed on Friday, May 20, 2016 by the CEOs of both companies, the partnership provides insurance services to Ecobank customers through a network expanded to the entire African continent.

The proposed offer includes life insurance and non life products. Previously, the two partners already signed a bancassurance agreement in 2015.
