Sompo International acquires Lexon Surety Group

The American subsidiary of Sompo International has signed an agreement for the takeover of the subsidiaries owned by Lexon Surety Group, the market’s second surety insurer. The transaction comprises Lexon Insurance Company, Bond Safeguard Insurance Company and Fortress National Group. Lexon’s offices and staff shall remain.

The deal, currently submitted for approval by the supervisory authority, is due to be finalized by March 2018.
