Sompo Holdings acquires Endurance Speciality

The Japanese insurer Sompo Holdings has announced reaching an agreement to acquire its US counterpart Endurance Speciality Holdings.

This operation is part of a strategy to expand the Group's activities outside the Japanese archipelago.

The transaction worth 639.4 billion JPY (6.2 billion USD) would be finalized in March 2017.
