The consortium formed by mutual insurance groups SMABTP and MACSF has received approval from the competent authorities to acquire 100% of Arundo Re’s share capital.
This transaction marks the complete withdrawal of Caisse Centrale de Réassurance (CCR) from the capital of the French reinsurance company.
As a reminder, in 2023, SMABTP and MACSF acquired 75% of Arundo Re (formerly CCR Re) from CCR, which retained a 25% stake.
On 14 November 2025, the two groups finalized the acquisition of the remaining 25% held by CCR.
Arundo Re now has two shareholders: SMATBP, holding 70% of the capital, and MACSF, holding 30%.
