A slight increase of omanisation in the insurance sector

According to a report issued by the Capital Market Authority (CMA), the percentage of Omanis employed in the insurance industry reached 65% in 2014, an improvement of 1 point in a year.

The same source indicates that the total number of employees in insurance rose from 2170 in 2013 to 2 376 in 2014, up by 9.5% over one year.

The Omani workforce is evolving at a faster rate, its number increased from 1399 in 2013 to 1556 in 2014, that is a rise by 11%.
