Sen Re, 2015 results

The Société Sénégalaise de Réassurance (Sen Re) reported, as at 31/12/2015, a net result of 761 million FCFA (1.3 million USD) against 752.6 million FCFA (1.4 million USD) in 2014, which is an increase of 1.13% in local currency.

The 2015 year showed a turnover of 16.39 billion FCFA (27.3 million USD) compared to 17 billion FCFA (28.32 million USD) a year earlier. Non-life business represented 89.7% of the portfolio totaling 14.7 billion FCFA (USD 24.5 million).

The West Africa area accounted for 76.26% of the Senegalese reinsurer's turnover. It is followed by far by the Middle East with a share of 6.07%.

Note that during 2015, the Asia revenue fell sharply in the portfolio. The region represented only 5.87% of the sales against 23.53% in 2014.
