«The Scream» and «The Madonna» were not insured against theft

The two paintings by the renowned Norwegian painter Edward Munch, “The Scream”, (painted in 1893) and “The Madonna”, (painted in 1894), and stolen from the Oslo Museum on August 22, 2004, were insured against fire and water damage but not against robbery.
