SCOR, opening of a branch in India

On 27 December 2016, the Indian Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDAI) issued an approval to SCOR for the opening of a branch in India. The new entity will begin its life and non-life reinsurance business on 1 April 2017.

It should be noted that since 2005, the French reinsurer has had a contact office in India.
