Saudi insurance market: results H1 2021

Data published by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), confirms that the Saudi insurance market has recorded a 3.2% turnover increase in the first half of 2021. The latter went from 21.411 billion SAR (5.7 billion USD) in H1 2020 to 22.093 billion SAR (5.88 billion USD) one year later.

As of 30 June 2021, the net profit reached 529 million SAR (140.87 million USD) compared to 1.028 billion SAR (273.8 million USD) in the same time period of 2020. This represents a 48.5% decrease over one year.
