The Saudi Insurance Authority (IA) has released the main activity indicators for the local market covering the first nine months of 2025.
The sector’s turnover reached 65.2 billion SAR (17.4 billion USD) at end-September, representing an 11.7% year-on-year increase.
Insurance revenue rose by 2.8% to 53.5 billion SAR (14.3 billion USD). The insurance service result amounted to 1.8 billion SAR (479.7 million USD), a decline of 35.8% over the past twelve months.
Net investment income fell by 25.2% to 2.1 billion SAR (559.6 million USD).
Overall, local insurers closed the first three quarters of 2025 with a net profit of 1.8 billion SAR (479.7 million USD), down 47.8% compared with the same period in 2024.
