Sanlam, major shareholder of BrightRock

Sanlam, the leader of life insurance in South Africa, is poised to buy 53% of BrightRock, another life company that has been on the market for several years.

This acquisition remains subject to the supervisory authorities' approval. The transaction would be fianlized during the first half of 2017. The amount of the operation should not exceed 707 million ZAR (52 million USD).
