Sanlam Emerging Markets becomes Sanlam Pan Africa (SPA)

Sanlam Emerging Markets (SEM) changed its name on February 28, 2019. The subsidiary dedicated to expansion in emerging countries now bears the name of Sanlam Pan Africa (SPA).

SEM will use its new name for operations in Africa. The old appellation will be preserved in India, Malaysia and Lebanon for the 2018 annual results and the annual report of March.

The name Sanlam Pan Africa (SPA) will become effective as early as March in Johannesburg, Cape Town (South Africa) and Casablanca (Morocco). It will not impact the brand image of the group.

Sanlam who aspires to become the continent's first financial player, wishes to concentrate on its 90 African establishments via this name.
