SAA reveals that over 80% of proprietors are not insured

The Société Nationale d'Assurance (SAA) has reported that over 80% of business and property holders as well as industrialists are not insured against natural catastrophes. The insurance convention signed in 2004 between SAA and the General Union of Traders and Craftsmen designed to cover this type of risks does not seem to have solved the problem. Awareness raising and outreach meetings will be held in 2009 to invite owners to insure their properties.
