Results of Doha Insurance Company in 2004

Doha insurance Company (DIC) has reported a net profit of 27.63 million QAR (7.6 million USD) for the year 2004. The company has insured the construction of Doha's new airport as well as Qatar Airways Company for an amount of 5.5 billion USD.
The amount of underwritten premiums in 2004 reached 83 million QAR (22. million USD) against 44 million QAR (12.1 million USD) in 2003, that is, an 89% increase.
As a reminder, DIC is the last company created on the Qatari insurance market.
