Results 2005 of the insurance market

The turnover reported by the insurance sector reached 51.4 billion FCFA (92.8 million USD) in 2005 against 49.4 billion FCFA (89.2 million USD) in 2004, that is, a growth of 3.95%.

The premium volume is dominated by the motor class with 19.2 billion FCFA (34.7 million USD) followed by the marine business which reached 10.5 billion FCFA (19 million USD). The three large companies that are sharing the Senegal's insurance market are AXA-Senegal, Prévoyance and AGF Sénégal.
