Reorganization of Tokio Marine Kiln Insurance (TMKI)

Tokio Marine Kiln Insurance (TMKI) reorganizes its activities in London and focuses instead on Lloyd’s business through its syndicates. Consequently, the Japanese reinsurer is to cease making businesses as of 1 July 2019. The current portfolio shall be placed into run-off.

Such a decision is not applicable to the Japanese accounts which will continue to operate until the 1st of January, 2020. On the latter date, they will be underwritten by TMK’s sister company Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC).
