Reinsurers are still interested in the MENA region

A Qatari study conducted between December 2010 and January 2011 with 28 players in the region has shown that 65% of the insurance companies and brokers surveyed expect to see reinsurers’ engagement in the Gulf grow faster than the GDP. Most of the participants in the study estimate that the regional reinsurance capacity will play an increasing role. Competition remains intense, while prices will be stable.
