Rating agencies are optimistic about the future of the UAE insurance market

Rating agencies keep a positive view of the UAE insurance market. According to Standard & Poor's, Expo Dubai 2020, a universal exhibition expected to attract 25 million visitors, will boost the economic sector, including insurance.

For Moody's, the regulatory reforms introduced over the last three years should improve the performance of insurers in the region.

In 2017, 26 local insurers posted positive results, that is 86.6% of the total companies on the market.
