QIC's turnover increased by 19% in 2016

The turnover of Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) totaled 2.72 billion USD in 2016, that is an increase of 19% compared to 2015. Premiums underwritten by QIC's subsidiaries in Bermuda, Malta and London accounted for 70% of the group's total premiums.

With a rate of 98%, the 2016 combined ratio lost two points compared to the one posted twelve months before. The consolidated net income also declined to 289 million USD in 2016 in comparison with 292 million USD in 2015.
