Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) has become the number one insurance company in the Arab world in terms of market capitalization (1.26 billion USD) with 111 companies lagging behind it. QIC was established in 1964. It is the first insurer in the Gulf to obtain an “A” rating from Standard & Poor's.
