Qatar Holding is supporting Prudential for the acquisition of AIA

Qatar Holding and GIC, the most important Singaporean sovereign fund, are going to underwrite 20 billion USD in securities to acquire, in association with Prudential, AIA. Prudential announced its intention on March 1, 2010, to buy AIA, the Asian life subsidiary of AIG for the sum of 35.5 billion USD. This acquisition will be financed in stock and cash.
