Provisional toll of Typhoon Haiyan

The Philippines was devastated by the super typhoon Haiyan, one of the most powerful hurricanes ever recorded. The provisional toll reported more than 10 000 dead, 2 000 missing and 17 million people affected. Economic losses would be between 8 and 19 billion USD while insured losses reach more than 2 billion USD.
