Ping An wants to get hold of 40% shares of Prudential

Having acquired 4,2% stakes from the Belgian Fortis for the sum of 1.8 billion EUR (2.6 billion USD) in November 2007, the second Chinese insurer Ping An would be willing to invest about 9.5 billion EUR (13.9 billion USD) to get hold of 40% shares of the British insurer Prudential.
