Ping An Insurance: 2022 results

Ping An Insurance has recorded a 1.2% increase, in local currency, of its turnover in 2022. The gross written premiums totaled 769.6 billion CNY (111.1 billion USD) as at 31 December 2022 against 760.8 billion CNY (119.4 billion USD) during the same period in 2021.

The annual net profit fell by 17.6% to 83.8 billion CNY (12.1 billion USD) from the 101.6 billion CNY (15.9 billion USD) posted a year earlier. The operating result progressed by 0.3% to reach 148.4 billion CNY (21.4 billion USD) at the end of 2022.

The Chinese group will distribute a dividend of 2.42 CNY (0.35 USD) per share for the past financial year, up by 1.7% compared to that of 2021.
