The Capital Market Authority (CMA) required that Omani insurance companies cover medical tests and treatment fees for domestic and foreign insured with COVID-19.
Any person carrying the virus is now covered by their insurer in public and private hospitals. Insurers will apply a standard compensation scale, set by the Ministry of Health. The decision took effect on 2 June 2020.
