Omani drivers covered regardless of driving licence validity

The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) is urging Omani insurance companies to continue covering automotive drivers whose licences have expired during the period of confinement.

Any policyholder with an expired driving licence may still benefit from motor insurance along with a compensation in case of a road accident.

This decision falls within the framework of the measures taken by the Omani government to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
