Oman Re publishes its results for the first half of 2018

Oman Re has published its results for the first half of 2018 in a press release dated September 13, 2018. Gross premiums increased from 7.5 million OMR (19.4 million USD) in the first half of 2017 to 15.1 million OMR (39.1 million USD) in the same period of 2018, thus recording a 100% increase. The combined ratio also improved by 4.2 points to reach 102.7%.

Despite the rise in claims, Oman Re posted a profit of 136 500 OMR (353 730 USD) for the first six months of the current year.
