Oman Re holds a workshop on natural catastrophe insurance

Oman Re organized on 10 November 2021 a workshop on the implementation of a natural catastrophe insurance program. This workshop was held in partnership with Willis Re.

Hosted by the Capital Market Authority (CMA), the event was attended by several industry professionals as well as members of the Oman Insurance Association.

The introduction of a natural catastrophe insurance program aims to reduce the gap between the insured losses and the economic losses caused by climate change. It would also help maintain stable growth in the local market.
