Oman Re back to profitability in 2017

Oman Re closed the year 2017 with a turnover of 12.4 million OMR (32.28 million USD), up by 36.3% compared to the 9.1 million OMR (23.72 million USD) achieved in 2016.

The net result reported a remarkable progress showing a profit of 96 000 OMR (249 893 USD) at 31 December 2017 against a net loss of 483 000 OMR (1.26 million USD) twelve months ago.

This good performance is accounted for by the recovery policy adopted by the Omani reinsurer since the second half of 2016.
