Oliver Bäte takes up the reins of Allianz

Oliver Bäte will take the management of Allianz, as of may 7, thus becoming the 10^th President of the executive board in its 125-year history.
After business studies in Cologne and New York, O. Bate began his professional career at McKinsey. In 2008, he joined the first European insurer where he began his ascent.

He held several senior positions including that of CFO and in charge of insurance activities in several European countries.

Aged 50, O. Bate will succeed in this position Michael Diekmann who has led the business since April 2003.
