Old Mutual, record profit in Namibia

Old Mutual posted a record operating profit of 589 million NAD (56 million USD) in 2013, that is a 36% increase over one year (432 million NAD, 51 million USD in 2012).

Old Mutual becomes thus one of the most profitable insurers in the country. The non life turnover reached 4.82 billion NAD (459 million USD). In life insurance, sales increased by 20%, while assets under management totaled 31 billion NAD (2.9 billion USD).
