Old Mutual puts 6 billion USD on the table for Skandia

The South African insurer has unveiled its takeover bid of Swedish SKandia which amounts to 6 billion USD. This acquisition is likely to boost Old Mutual to the rank of eighth insurer on the European market. The final decision is submitted to Skandia's Board of Directors for approval.
