Old Mutual, major shareholder of UAP Holdings

Old Mutual announced last monday the purchase of new shares in the capital of UAP Holdings, becoming thus the major shareholder of the Kenyan insurer with 60.7% that is 155.5 million USD.

The Anglo South African group has already acquired 23.5% of UAP group in early January for a sum of 97.6 million USD.

As a reminder, the UAP Holdings group is present in seven African countries: Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Southern Sudan, Mauritius and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
